Get R.E.A.L. Program | Department of Art & Art History

Introduction to Art | Instructor: Jerolyn Morrison

In collaboration with Baylor Libraries and Book Arts Collection, the Martin Museum participated in Get R.E.A.L., an initiative designed for students in ARTH1300 (Introduction to Art). This multi-site learning experience combined:

• Direct encounters with works from the museum’s permanent collection
• Access to the Baylor Book Arts Collection
• Hands-on sessions in the Baylor Libraries Letterpress Lab

Through these visits, students explored the intersections between printmaking, communication, and the book as a visual object. The program centered on themes of mechanical reproduction and mass communication, as well as situating historical processes alongside contemporary interpretation.
