Letter from the Director
Greetings from the Martin Museum of Art. I, along with the entire Museum staff, hope that we see you visit us soon.
At the Martin, we strive to provide our constituents with engaging, thought-provoking exhibitions, programs, and events. We seek to give our community a creative outlet to explore captivating images, engage in critical analysis, and cultivate a sense of wonder.
Everything that the Martin hosts is free to everyone. Our goal is to be a space that welcomes all and makes all feel welcome. I encourage everyone to visit us and immerse yourself in the visual.
We host several exhibitions throughout the year. I often tell visitors that if you weren’t interested in what you saw today, come back in a few weeks, and you’ll see something different! Those exhibitions also lead to visiting artists who give artist talks, curators who delve into the rich backgrounds of the shows they work on with us, and other fine art professionals who share a variety of industry input.
Throughout the year, we also host a variety of events, such as Print a Valentine and our Homecoming “Celebrating Traditions” activity. These events allow our communities to participate in fine arts processes and crafts and enjoy being creative.
I sincerely hope that all our guests at the Martin leave our museum feeling inspired and come back to seek learning opportunities.
Art makes us smart.
