Education at the Martin
We love to work with groups of all ages to create learning experiences that will help your students grow. We provide
-
Scheduled tours of current exhibitions.
-
Permanent Collection viewings.
-
Creative art & art history linked projects/activities.
-
And many other opportunities.
When making your tour request, you’ll need to provide us with some information:
-
Make a note of topics you are discussing and/or things you are doing in the classroom or group meetings. If possible, we will modify the tour to support what you are doing.
-
Extend the tour with a creative experience. Based on your goals, we can recommend an activity designed to enhance the experience and/or support learning.
Art Educators
-
We can explore art techniques, styles/era or discuss careers that utilize art skills.
-
Based on the exhibition – we can talk about artists, art styles or eras, techniques utilized in the creation of what is being viewed, and historical references or impacts.
Classroom Educators
-
What subject would you like to enhance through a visit to the museum?
-
We have ideas to share on how to relate art to other subject areas: writing, math, science, social studies.
Scout or Special Groups
-
How can we help you complete a badge or goal for students in your program?
